I love a book that can make me laugh. I'm not talking about a smile or a snicker, but an outright, can't-stop-yourself guffaw. Occasionally I'll find a book that tickles me so much I'm compelled to stop reading, log on to facebook and recommend it to friends, family and anyone who hasn't blocked my posts. "Love Letters, Inc." is such a book.Workaholic Kent is definitely not the kind of man Rosie is looking to meet. She longs to settle down and start a family with a man who wants a brood of children. Kent is too busy to eat let alone give the attention that a large family would require. Rosie, decked out in a metal neckbrace, broken glasses repaired with a paperclip and loud socks shouldn't have made an impression on Kent, but she did. They are instantly smitten, much to their chagrin.
The dialog between Rosie and Kent is so effortlessly witty that you long to have their comebacks in your own verbal arsenal. Their banter isn't mean-spirited and has just the right amount of sass. Rosie's internal pleadings to Lady Brain and rebukes to Hormone are equally charming. Try as she might, Lady Brain can't save Rosie from that floozy, Hormone.
For those that are interested, I would give the book a "warm" sensuality rating. Hormone does, after all, win the battle. The love scenes are sensual, not ultra-graphic, but also contain a bit of humor. The only purple prose you'll find is in the love letters Rosie pens for her side business "Cyrano, Inc."
Obviously, I recommend this book. A wall post to over 300 facebook friends proves my love, but alas my declaration will be timelined and never seen again. Here's hoping this review reaches 300 more people who'll read the book and love it as much as I did.
If this book ends up tickling your funny bone, then read The Frog Prince by Elle Lothlorien. It was the only other book that made me nearly break a wrist logging on to facebook. You'll be so forever grateful, you might name your kids after me! :)

Funny, sweet read about two people ment to be together, once some rather huge obstacles are overcome. A dozen kids, or none, that is the question!
I must admit, I was a little hesitant... it sounded like a self published little story that might have merit... boy was I wrong! It was wonderful and I definitely would have been satisfied if I'd paid $3.99 for it! Great story, moved along wonderfully, excellent character development and Rosie and Kent made their way cautiously to love, and their hang ups were definitely realistic! I was sorry to see the story end (always my personal "like" indicator) and am now looking for more books by this author!
The writing was excellent and the humor was laugh out loud funny... Rosie's inner dialogues were a delight! A strong recommend!
At first when I read the synopsis to Love Letters, INC I just knew that I needed to buy this ebook. I adored Kent and Rosie. Kent has a high stressed job and is a hardworking man. Rosie is a technical writer and also writes love letters as a side job. It is within these letters that set in motion the meeting of Kent and Rosie. I enjoyed seeing them get to one another. As they learn about each other Kent realizes that he is ready for the commitment of marriage and children. Rosie decides that instead of wanting a dozen pair of kids she would rare compromise with Kent on a deal. In the they agree to five children. Overall this was a cute story with two wonderful characters who found love within each other.
This was a delightful read. EC Sheedy's writing style is exquisite. I loved the heroine Rosie O'Hanlon. She is a spitfire and a woman that knows what she wants in life. She's hilarious too. She has internal monologue with the angel and devil that sit on her shoulders...otherwise known as Lady Brain and Hormone. There's a wonderful Irish Wolfhound named Font, and let's not forget the yummy workaholic, Kent Summerton who completely gets run over by Rosie. The romance is wonderful and the sex scenes are pretty hot without being raunchy. I'll be adding the rest of EC Sheedy's books to my library. The HEA at the ending gave me goose bumps. One of the most romantic things I've ever read...
I enjoyed this delightful story about an h who writes love letters on behalf of her clients to earn extra money. By day she is a technical writer and then spends the rest of her time trying to help the hopelessly in love. Such a cute premise. The H contacts her after receiving her progressively steamy letters to him, written on behalf of his fiancée. He soon puts her to rights as he doesn't actually have a fiancée and has no idea who wants him to receive these letters. Sparks fly between the main characters from the start and so begins a really fun story. The H has no desire to settle down or have any kids at all and the h wants the whole story plus a dozen kids. No spoilers on this one because it's well worth reading to discover how they find their hea.
I felt like I was getting to know a real person instead of a character when I was introduced to Rosie in Love Letters, Inc. She was everything I would want in a friend warm, generous, intelligent, a sense of humor, and loved big dogs. When she met Kent, an ambitious, driven, sexy, workaholic (but with a tender heart that he tried to hide), a spark was immediately struck. Rosie fought the attraction because more than anything else in life she wanted a big family with LOTS of children and she knew that Kent wouldn't want to take time away from his business for a family. The dialogue in this book was simply marvelous; it felt more like listening to a conversation than reading a story. The imagery was excellent and I really felt like I was immersed in the story with all my senses engaged. I hated to come to the (happy) end of the story because I enjoyed it so much and I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a terrific love story with an original twist.
